According to Sergeant Dan Teunissen of the Sheboygan Police Department, the crash occurred shortly after 8:00 a.m. at the intersection of Taylor Drive and Geele Street. Police say an 86 year-old man was driving a minivan south on Taylor and failed to stop at a stop sign. He struck a car driven by a 27 year-old man which was headed east on Geele.

Authorities say the 86 year-old man was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment. No information was available on the nature of his injuries, which were described as minor.

The 27 year-old man complained of back pain but refused to be taken to the hospital.

Teunissen said both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.

According to officials with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, 27 year-old Michelle E. Heck was involved in an accident shortly after 6:00 p.m. Saturday on county Highway A near Ridge Road. Police say Heck was traveling northbound negotiating a curve when her 2001 Honda Shadow motorcycle drifted onto the gravel shoulder on the east side of the roadway. The motorcycle entered a ditch and the front tire stuck, flipping the motorcycle and ejecting Heck.

The motorcycle landed on Heck before coming to rest nearby, police say.

Heck was transported by Plymouth Ambulance to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center following the crash. A spokesperson for the hospital described Heck’s injuries as serious but non-life-threatening.

Heck was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

According to officials with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, an 81 year-old man was driving a moped southbound on Irish Road when he attempted to make a turn onto County Road Q. Police say the moped made a wide turn, crossed the center line and entered the path of an oncoming eastbound vehicle.

The 81 year-old man from Saint Cloud was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Police say he was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the eastbound vehicle, a 23 year-old woman, also from Saint Cloud, was transported from the scene to a hospital in Fond du Lac.

The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the accident.

According to officials with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, 45 year-old Reid Krist, of Sheboygan Falls, was traveling west in a Dodge Ram pickup truck on Highway 23 with his 16 year-old son, Ryan, when the crash occurred. Police say a vehicle pulled out from a stop sign on Highway E, into the path of Krist’s vehicle, shortly after 11:00 a.m. Saturday.

The second driver, 68 year-old Ronald Blanke, also of Sheboygan Falls, was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way from a stop sign. He was not injured in the crash.

Both Krist and his son were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, police say. Sgt. Blaine Spicer, of the SCSD, said they both sustained “pretty severe cuts,” in the accident. The two were transported, by Plymouth Ambulance, to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for treatment.

Sergeant Doug Teunissen said a 48 year-old Sheboygan woman was traveling northbound on Taylor Dr. in a 1998 Jeep Cherokee when she struck an eastbound 2006 Honda CRV driven by a 64 year-old man from Elkhart Lake.

The driver of the Jeep was transported by ambulance to St. Nicholas Hospital following the crash, where she was treated for minor injuries. She was cited for failure to obey traffic control.

The driver the Honda was uninjured in the crash, but a 79 year-old female who was riding with him was transported to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center to be checked for shortness of breath.

According to officials with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, 44 year-old Gregory Holstein was traveling southbound on county Highway I in the Town of Sherman shortly after 3:15 p.m when the accident occurred. Lieutenant Mark Rupnik said Holstein lost control on a curve near county Highway SS, his 1993 Honda Goldwing entered the west ditch, and he slid off the motorcycle.

Holstein was transported by ambulance to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. He was cited for inattentive driving.

According to police, the 17-year-old was immediately taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital. He died there. The 21-year-old pick-up driver was not injured.

No witnesses have come forward. Even after a four hour investigation on Wisconsin 172 and Packerland Drive, police are unsure what exactly happened. The driver of the truck did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol.

According to officials with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, a Kentucky man driving a semitrailer was hospitalized after his truck jackknifed when he was trying to avoid the mattresses shortly after 11:00 p.m. Wednesday. Sergeant Blaine Spicer said the mattresses were tied to a 1998 Ford Exploer driven by 36 year-old Steve Wideman. Wideman was traveling north on Interstate 43 when a bungee cord snapped near state Highway 42.

Wideman’s girlfriend, Sarah Kloepping, 21, was behind him in a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am. A semi driven by 50 year-old William Jaggers, of Horse Cave, Kentucky, was behind Kloepping. As Kloepping braked to avoid the mattress Jaggers attempted to steer away from her vehicle, causing his rig to jackknife.

Jaggers sustained an arm injury in the accident and was transported to St. Nicholas Hospital for treatment.

According to officials with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred shorly after 6:00 a.m. at the intersection of county Highways J and M. Sergeant Blaine Spicer said 41 year-old Christopher Galow was traveling east on Highway J when a northbound vehicle on Highway M stopped for a stop sign, and then pulled into his path while attempting to turn west onto Highway J. Galow was riding a motorcycle and was struck in the middle of the intersection.

Galow was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police say. He was transported by medical helicopter to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah with a leg injury.

The driver of the car, 25 year-old Stephanie L. Setzer of Sheboygan, was uninjured.

According to Sheboygan Police Department Sergeant Doug Teunissen, the crash occurred at 1:37 p.m. and resulted in a 40 year-old woman being taken to the hospital. The woman was treated and released, Teunissen said in a press release.
