The 18-year-old was traveling south around 1 a.m. on North Williams Road, when her vehicle veered off of the roadway and flipped over. When police arrived on the scene, they found the car upside down. Emergency personnel pronounced the teenager dead at the scene.

The German automobile maker stated that a problem involving the battery in the trunk of some models poses a fire hazard. Roughly 367,000 cars in the United States are part of this recall. A manufacturing error could have caused the battery connector cables to be connected in the wrong manor in different models. This mistake could cause the vehicle to overheat.

A 47-year-old Hammond woman died as a result of the injuries she sustained during the crash. She was a passenger on a motorcycle being operated by a 48-year-old man on 650th Street. The  motorcycle was on the north side of the road when it was hit by a vehicle on the south side of the street trying to make a turn.

The passenger and the motorcyclist were thrown from the bike. They both suffered serious injuries and were taken by helicopter to nearby hospitals. Police investigating the collision noted that both of them were wearing helmets at the time of the accident. The driver of the pickup truck was uninjured in the motorcycle accident.

The teen was looking at his phone when he ran a stop sign and crashed into a motor vehicle, causing the vehicle to flip, and strike another car. Two individuals in the first vehicle that was struck were injured in the accident.

Both of the injured were taken to a hospital in the area to be treated for their symptoms. The 17-year-old was given two citations for the accident, but was not hurt.

The weather also caused 33 cars to crash into ditches throughout Sheboygan. Most of those cars were found in ditches along Interstate 43, and Wisconsin highways 23 and 57. The airport in Sheboygan reported six inches of snow fall during the storm on Friday.
