A car accident that took place at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday night in Monroe County injured two individuals.
The car accident happened when a 61-year-old driver tried to move past two Amish buggies in the road. As the man was passing the buggies, one of the buggies pulled out in front of the approaching motor vehicle and crashed into it. The buggy was turned on it’s side and the 21-year-old driver, as well as the 18-year-old passenger inside the buggy were injured.
Both occupants of the buggy were taken to a local hospital to tend to minor injuries and the driver of the motor vehicle was not injured in the accident.
