Two people are dead after a wrong-way collision occurred on I-94 this weekend.

The car accident happened Saturday night in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. A 44-year-old Wisconsin woman was driving the wrong-way on the highway when she struck a car being driven by a 41-year-old father of three. Both drivers died at the scene.

There were numerous reports to the police regarding the wrong-way driver, but the squad cars that were sent to stop the woman were not able to do so before the accident. Police are saying that the accident could have been much worse because a police car was feet away from being involved in the accident as well.

An investigation into this accident is ongoing.
