Kohler Woman Injured in Sheboygan Rollover Accident

A Kohler woman was injured in a Sheboygan auto accident Thursday morning.

Accoridng to officials with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, 77 year-old Kohler-resident Jacqueline Hamel was injured shortly after 8:30 a.m. in a rollover accident at the intersection of state Highway 28 and Abbott Drive in the Town of Scott, just west of Random Lake. Deputies say Hamel sustained head injuries in the crash and was transported by Flight For Life helicopter to Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Wauwatosa.

According to Sheriff’s Lieutenant Mark Rupnik, a milk turck was traveling southbound on Highway 28 and collided with Hamel’s Dodge Caravan as she pulled out from a stop sign on westbound Abbott Drive. The force of the impact caused the minivan to rollover. The vehicle came to rest on its roof about 75 yards southeast of the crash site.

The crash remains under investigation by the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department.

Sheboygan Woman Injured in Rollover Accident

A woman from Sheboygan was injured in a rollover accident early Tuesday.

According to Sergeant Jim Gottsacker of the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, 19 year-old Adalyn Harvey was injured in an auto accident shortly after 1:30 a.m. Tuesday on Highway LS, just north of Whistling Straits. Harvey lost control of her vehicle, which left the roadway, struck a guardrail, and rolled over before careening off a cliff, Gottsacker said.

According to the accident report, Harvey was ejected from the vehicle just before it fell about 50 feet to a beach on Lake Michigan. She was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment after the crash. Deputies described her injuries as serious but not life-threatening.

Two Injured in Sheboygan Rollover Accident

Two people were injured Saturday morning in a Wausau rollover accident.

According to officials with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred shortly after 10:00 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 32 and Highway FF. Deputies say 18 year-old Joshua Perronne was traveling west on Highway FF and failed to yeiled to a vehicle driven by 75 year-old Marlene Horneck, who was southbound on Highway 32. Horneck’s vehicle rolled over in the accident and landed upside-down in a ditch after the crash.

Horneck and her passenger, 82 year-old Minnie Gurnewald sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the accident, deputies say. The two were transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.

Perrone, the sole occupant of his vehicle, was not injured in the accident.

Woman Injured in Sheboygan Rollover Accident

A woman was hospitalized Thursday morning after a Sheboygan rollover accident in the Village of Kohler.

According to officials with the Kohler Police Department, 21 year-old Nicole Spisla was on the ramp from eastbound state Highway 23 to southbound Interstate 43 shortly after 7:00 a.m. when the accident occurred. Police say a deer ran into the roadway and Spisla swerved to avoid the animal. She overcorrected to the left, sending her 2006 Chrysler Pacifica into the median, where it rolled an undetermined number of times and came to rest upright.

Spisla sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the accident. She was transported by ambulance to St. Nicholas Hospital for treatment. The nature of her injuries is not known. She was cited for not wearing a seatbelt.

Man Injured in Sheboygan Rollover Accident

An elderly man was injured in a Sheboygan rollover accident Thursday morning.

According to officials with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, 73 year-old Donald Koller, of Sheboygan, was injured in a rollover accident shortly before 11:00 a.m. Thursday. Police say Koller was traveling east on County J, just west of Johnsonville, when he lost control of his Ford F150 pickup truck, and rolled it into a ditch.

Authorities say Koller was pinned underneath the vehicle, and a Sheboygan Fire Department response team used the Jaws of Life to help free the man. Koller was transported by Flight For Life to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah for treatment. No information on the nature and extent of his injuries was available.

Deputies say alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Police continue to investigate the cause of the accident.

1 Injured in Sheboygan Rollover Accident

A Sheboygan rollover accident sent a 17 year-old girl to the hospital Monday night.

According to officials with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, Marissa Noyes suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries in a rollover crash Monday. Police say the accident occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Blueberry Road near the Winooski Road intersection in the town of Lyndon. Noyes was traveling north on Blueberry in a 2008 Dodge Nitro when she left the road and entered the west ditch, according to the accident report. The car struck a utility pole and rolled over several times, coming to rest on its roof.

Noyes was transported by Plymouth Ambulance to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for treatment. No information on the nature of her injuries was immediately available.

Noyes was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, police say. No citations have been issued.

Police ID Teens in Fatal Sheboygan Rollover Accident

Authorities identified two teens killed in a Sheboygan rollover accident Sunday night.

According to officials with the Wisconsin State Patrol, 19 year-old Travis C. Born and 18 year-old Dominick Dalton Debbink were killed in a rollover car accident in Sheboygan Falls Sunday. The accident occurred shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Meadowlark Road just south of Highway 23.

Police say Born was traveling northbound on Meadowlark in a 2002 Volkswagen GTI with four passengers when the vehicle failed to negotiate a left hand curve and lost control. The Volkswagen veered off the roadway, traveling into the right ditch, where the driver’s side of the vehicle struck a telephone pole, according to the accident report. The vehicle overturned before coming to rest upon the driver’s side.

Two teenagers sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. Police say 19 year-old Benjamin J. Chappa and 18 year-old Samual J. Van Tatenhove were treated at the scene and released.

Driver Flees Sheboygan Rollover Accident

The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a rollover accident which occurred Sunday.

According to a Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department crash report, a Dodge Durango with a temporary license plate was found shortly after 1:15 a.m. Sunday near county Highway FF and Rhine Road. Police say evidence at the scene showed the SUV had been traveling north on Rhine Road when the driver left the east side of the roadway and struck a mailbox. The driver then re-entered the road, over-corrected, and swerved into the east ditch, where the vehicle rolled onto the driver’s side and caught fire, authorities say.

The SUV was empty when police arrived on the scene. Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jason Liermann said Monday that officials believe they know who was driving the vehicle, but the crash remains under investigation.

The Elkhart Lake Fire Department and First Responders were called to the scene along with Plymouth Ambulance.

Sheboygan Man Injured in Rollover Crash

A man from Sheboygan was injured Friday in a rollover crash, police say.

According to officials with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, 36 year-old Mumin Abd-Allah was traveling east on state Highway 23 near Sunset Road in a 2002 Lincoln Navigator SUV shortly after 2:00 p.m. when the rear right tire blew out, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. The Lincoln rolled several times and Abd-Allah, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle.

Abd-Allah was transported by Orange Cross Ambulance to St. Nicholas Hospital for treatment, Sgt. Brad Jorsch said. He was cited for driving too fast for conditions, not wearing a seatbelt, and for not having insurance.

Eastbound Highway 23 was temporarily closed while crews worked to clean up the scene of the crash. Lanes were reopened shortly after 4:00 p.m.

Cattle truck accident injures driver

A 55-year-old man was seriously injured Thursday morning when the cattle truck he was driving overturned on the roadway near Fond du Lac, Wis., authorities said. He said a gray sport utility vehicle pulled out in front of him, causing the accident. Police said the truck slid sideways, became airborne and tipped over.

The truck was lying on its side, and the driver was pinned in the cab but conscious when rescue personnel arrived, authorities said. Witnesses corralled a cow that got loose in the crash to prevent another accident. One of the cows in the truck had to be euthanized. The driver was flown to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah, Wis., authorities said.
