SUV involved in accident that killed Anton Yelchin recalled

The SUV involved in the recent Los Angeles accident that killed the young actor Anton Yelchin had a defect and was recalled, a June 20 article of CNN stated.

Police in Los Angeles told reporters that Yelchin, 27, was killed at his home after the Jeep SUV he owned suddenly moved out of place and struck him. Yelchin’s vehicle, along with 1.1 million more, was recalled by Fiat Chrysler Automobile (FCA) in April. The potential issue allowed drivers to exit their vehicles without the vehicle being in the “park” position. The problem often caused vehicles to roll out of place and was linked to 117 accidents and dozens of injuries, federal authorities noted. FCA was sympathetic to Yelchin’s family and said they are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.

The wrongful death attorneys at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® extend their sincere condolences to the family and friends mourning the recent loss of their loved one.
