Man seriously injured in Oneida motorcycle accident

A motorcyclist from Kaukauna is in serious condition after the motorcycle he was operating struck a tanker truck in Oneida on the morning of Tuesday, November 3rd.

According to reports, the accident between the motorcycle and the tanker truck took place at around 9:35 a.m. near the intersection of State 55 and County Road EE. The man, who has only been identified as a 54-year-old Kaukauna resident, was driving his motorcycle in the northbound lane of State 55 when he struck the rear tire on the passenger side of a tanker trailer that was coming from the opposite direction. Apparently, the truck was in the process of turning east onto County Road EE in front of the motorcycle, and the driver did not make the turn in time.

The motorcyclist was believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries, despite the fact that he was wearing a helmet. The truck driver, only identified as a 73-year-old resident of Black Creek, did not suffer injuries. Local and state authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
