17.8K Honda Fit vehicles recalled in the US

Automaker giant Honda Motor Co. issued a recall for 17,800 “Fit” compact vehicles to repair an engine problem that may cause injuries to occupants, an article from USA Today stated on September 4.

The recall affects the 2015 “Fit” model, which according to Honda has a substandard “plug-top ignition coil” inside the engine. Stalling during operation may occur if the problem engine part deteriorates. The problem was revealed after reviewing warranty claims. Honda said that they have not received incidents of accidents or injuries from driving the recalled vehicles. Honda will coordinate with owners of recalled Fit for the repair of their vehicles, free of charge.
