Speeding driver arrested for intoxicated driving

A woman was pulled over by Wisconsin authorities for speeding and was then found to be intoxicated, a CBS 58 article reported on July 7.

Reports said state patrol in Waukesha arrested 36-year-old Melanie Lynn Alvarez after she was found out to be driving while under the influence of intoxicants. Alvarez was traveling at a speed of 97 mph while in a 70 mph speed limit zone in the southbound lane of I-94. Authorities took Alvarez into custody at the Racine County Jail after sheexhibited signs of intoxication. Charges related to intoxicated driving, reckless driving, and child endangerment were filed against Alvarez.
