Two senior agents investigated for drunk driving incident

A White House official confirmed that an investigation is ongoing after two Secret Service agents crashed into a barrier on the property, an article by the Washington Post reported on March 11.

Secret Service spokesperson Brian Leary said that the agency, as well as the Department of Homeland Security inspector general, is investigating the alleged misconduct committed by Mark Connolly and George Ogilvie. Prior to crashing into the White House barricade, Connolly and Ogilvie reportedly were drinking at a party in downtown Washington D.C. A supervisor who was informed of the incident at the time let the two agents go home, reports said. Appropriate action will be executed once the investigation is complete.
