Wisconsin Senate passes new OWI bill for approval

On Tuesday, March 18 the Wisconsin state Senate passed a bill along for approval by Governor Scott Walker. The bill would require that drunk drivers who cause injury to others be required to spend at least 30 days in jail.

The Senate passed this bill after facing pressure to tighten Wisconsin drunk driving laws. In addition to OWI offenders having to spend time in jail. Wisconsin drivers charged with their 7th OWI will be sentenced to 3 years in prison.
