Ex-Raiders linebacker killed in car accident

Former Raiders football player Thomas Howard died in a car crash in Oakland, California in the early morning of Monday, November 18, according to the Huffington Post.

The accident occurred around 1 a.m. when the 30-year-old former NFL linebacker was speeding on a freeway in Oakland. Howard’s vehicle was reportedly traveling at an estimated speed of 100-110 mph when it hit a semi-truck, rolled over the center barrier, and hit the side of an oncoming vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle, identified as Zeng Long Liu, 64, was also killed in the accident.

A former Raiders teammate of Thomas, Kirk Morrison, expressed his grief at his friend’s untimely demise.
