374,000 Honda vehicles with an airbag defect recalled

Automaker giant Honda Motors Co. is recalling a total of 374,000 vehicles due to an issue that may lead to airbag malfunction, a report on September 23 stated.

According to the recall, an electrical interference affects the supplemental restraint system (SRS) and may unexpectedly launch the airbag of 318,000 Honda Odyssey minivans 2003-2004 models and 56,000 Acura MDX SUVs 2003.

There were complaints of unexpected airbag inflation in previous months, but Honda said they have not received any accidents related to the airbag malfunction. Honda said they will address the problem in late October by putting an electrical noise filter near its SRS control unit.

Unfortunately, many people sustain serious injuries due to defective vehicles. If you or a loved one have been hurt in a car accident due to auto defects, you may be entitled to compensation.
