Three teenagers die in Fond du Lac crash

A motor vehicle carrying nine girls, who all attended Campbellsport High School, crashed into a vacant field around 3:00 a.m. on Saturday. The cause for the accident has yet to be determined, but police do believe that high speeds and the inability to wear seat belts were both factors in the fatal accident.

Three teenage girls, ages 15, 16, and 17, were killed as a result of the accident. The 18-year-old driver, as well as an additional three passengers were critically injured and taken to local hospitals to be treated. According to reports, all of the girls were teammates on a soccer team.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released information, which claims that the main reason for teenage deaths in the United States are car accidents. It is important for teenagers to understand the risks of driving, and to follow the rules while operating a motor vehicle on the road.
