Sheboygan car accident injures three, kills one

A 34-year-old Sheboygan woman was driving her vehicle north on Cleveland Road around 9 a.m. Tuesday morning when she lost control due to the harsh winter weather conditions.

Her car spun on the ice and crossed into the southbound lane, hitting an oncoming vehicle head-on. The southbound car was being driven by a 23-year-old Kiel man. Both drivers had passengers in their cars at the time of the accident and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The Sheboygan woman was killed at the scene of the accident and her passenger, a 46-year-old Sheboygan man, was taken to a local hospital to be treated for severe injuries. The driver of the car that was struck was not severely injured and neither was his 6-year-old passenger. They were both wearing seatbelts when the car accident occurred.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s family and friends during this difficult time.
