Sheboygan man receives fifth DWI

A fifth driving while intoxicated charge has been given to a Sheboygan man after he was responsible for a car accident this weekend.

The 54-year-old Sheboygan man was in the town of Wilson coming up on a stop sign. As he approached the stop sign he failed to yield to the car that was already stopped in front of him.

Police were called to the area where they determined that the man had been operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested on that information and was taken to jail. This marks his fifth arrest regarding drinking and driving.

The driver of the stopped car was not severely injured and was transported to a local hospital to be treated.
