Car hits horse-drawn buggy injuring four

Four young Amish children on their way to school were struck by an oncoming car while traveling in a horse-drawn buggy. The school the children attend was less than half a mile from the site of the accident.

Two of the four children were taken to the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison by way of Medflight after being ejected from the buggy at the time of the crash. The other two children were treated for their injuries at a local hospital and all four children are said to be in stable condition.

The driver of the motor vehicle was departing from a local convenient store when it crashed into the buggy. The particular road where this took place is known for limited vision by reason of large hills.
