3 Hurt in Sheboygan Truck Accident

Three people were injured in a Sheboygan County truck accident Sunday.

According to Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department Lieutenant Mark Rupnik, the accident occurred on County Highway OO, just west of Highway 32, shortly after 12:00 p.m. Sunday. Rupnik says 44 year-old Oostburg-resident Luis Urbina was backing his 2004 Ford F150 pickup truck out of a private driveway on county Highway OO when the accident occurred. Urbina’s vehicle was struck by a westbound 2003 Dodge Neon driven by 23 year-old Jeremy Setzer, Sheboygan Falls.

Both Setzer and Urbina, as well as a passenger in Setzer’s vehicle, 21 year-old Sheboygan Falls resident Ashley Heinen, were transported by Oostburg ground ambulance to St. Nicholas Hospital for treatment. No information on the nature or extent of the victims’ injuries was available.

All thre victims were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to police.

Urbina was cited for unsafe backing.
