Woman Hurt in Sheboygan Rollover Accident

A woman was injured in a Sheboygan rollover accident Tuesday.

According to officials with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, 61 year-old Sheboygan Falls resident Karen J. Schramm was traveling east on county Highway A shortly before 1:00 p.m. when the accident occurred about a mile west of the village limits. Schramm’s 2000 Chevy Blazer entered the south shoulder and she over-corrected, veering into the south ditch and striking a culvert.

The Blazer rolled over and came to rest upside down in a driveway, about 30 feet from the roadway. Schramm was trapped in the vehicle, but conscious.

According to the accident report, the Howards Grove Jaws of Life Unit cut a door off the SUV to free Schramm. She was transported by ground ambulance to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for treatment. Authorities classified her injuries as serious but non-life-threatening.
