Kohler Woman Injured in Sheboygan Rollover Accident

A Kohler woman was injured in a Sheboygan auto accident Thursday morning.

Accoridng to officials with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, 77 year-old Kohler-resident Jacqueline Hamel was injured shortly after 8:30 a.m. in a rollover accident at the intersection of state Highway 28 and Abbott Drive in the Town of Scott, just west of Random Lake. Deputies say Hamel sustained head injuries in the crash and was transported by Flight For Life helicopter to Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Wauwatosa.

According to Sheriff’s Lieutenant Mark Rupnik, a milk turck was traveling southbound on Highway 28 and collided with Hamel’s Dodge Caravan as she pulled out from a stop sign on westbound Abbott Drive. The force of the impact caused the minivan to rollover. The vehicle came to rest on its roof about 75 yards southeast of the crash site.

The crash remains under investigation by the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department.
