Sheboygan Woman Hurt in Reckless Driving Accident

A woman was injured in a Sheboygan car accident Monday afternoon.

According to officials with the Sheboygan Police Department, a two-vehicle accident occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Indiana Avenue and South 14th Street. Police say 39 year-old Sheng Ziong was driving a 2005 Toyota Highlander east on Indiana Avenue when she attempted to turn northbound on 14th street, causing the accident. Xiong’s vehicle struck the side of a westbound 1992 Dodge D150 pickup truck driven by 53 year-old Sheboygan-resident Bryon Backman.

Xiong was transported by ground ambulance to an area hospital for treatment after the crash. No information on the nature or extent of her injuries was available. She was cited for failure to yield while making a left turn causing property damage.

Blackman was not injured in the accident. His vehicle, however, was heavily damaged.
