Boy Hospitalized After Sheboygan Pedestrian Accident

A teenage boy was injured in a Sheboygan pedestrian accident Saturday.

According to officials with the Sheboygan Police Department, the accident occurred shortly after 4:00 p.m. on South Business Drive on the city’s south side. Police say 14 year-old Sean Toedter was traveling south on South Business Drive when he was struck by a minivan driven by 57 year-old Sheboygan-resident Kirby Griese.

Police say Griese was turning right onto Wilson Avenue when he collided with Sean’s bike in the crosswalk.

Toedter sustained minor injuries in the accident and was transported by ground ambulance to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for treatment, according to police Lt. Scott Mittelstadt.

Griese was cited for failure to yield the right of way to a bicyclist.
