Waldo Man Injured in Sheboygan Car Accident

A Waldo man was seriously injured Friday afternoon in a Sheboygan car accident.

According to a press release from Cascade Police Department Chief Cory Roeseler, a 59 year-old Waldo man was injured in a car accident at the intersection of state Highway 57 and Highway 28 shortly after 1:00 p.m. Friday. Police said the man was traveling north on Highway 57 in a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am when his car struck a 2000 BMW driven by a 38 year-old Random Lake woman.

The Waldo man was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident. He became pinned in the wreckage and had to be extricated with the Jaws of Life. The woman was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
Alcohol was not a factor in the crash Roeseler said.
