Three Injured in Sheboygan Auto Accident

Three people were injured in a Sheboygan auto accident Friday afternoon.

According to officials with the Sheboygan Police Department, the accident occurred shortly after 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of North 14th Street and Center Avenue. Lieutenant Mike Williams said a 1994 Acura Integra was traveling westbound on Center at a “high rate of speed” when it ran a stop sign at 14th Street and was struck by a 2007 Cadillac CTS.

The driver of Integra, Som Van, of Milwaukee, had a learner’s permit, but no valid license. He was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and not having proof of insurance.

Vang and 17 year-old Chinou Lee, of Milwaukee, were pinned in the wreckage. Response crews had to extricate the two from the vehicle using the Jaws of Life. They were transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment. The driver of the CTS, 22 year-old Vincent Ridenour, of Sheboygan, was also hospitalized.
