Woman Injured in Sheboygan Rollover Accident

A woman was hospitalized Thursday morning after a Sheboygan rollover accident in the Village of Kohler.

According to officials with the Kohler Police Department, 21 year-old Nicole Spisla was on the ramp from eastbound state Highway 23 to southbound Interstate 43 shortly after 7:00 a.m. when the accident occurred. Police say a deer ran into the roadway and Spisla swerved to avoid the animal. She overcorrected to the left, sending her 2006 Chrysler Pacifica into the median, where it rolled an undetermined number of times and came to rest upright.

Spisla sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the accident. She was transported by ambulance to St. Nicholas Hospital for treatment. The nature of her injuries is not known. She was cited for not wearing a seatbelt.
