2 Injured in Sheboygan Auto Accident

Two people were injured Friday afternoon in a Sheboygan car accident in the Town of Morsel.

According to officials with the Wisconsin State Patrol, the accident occurred shortly after 2:00 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Dairyland Drive and Rowe Road. Trooper Andrew Hyer said the accident happened when an eastbound car driven by 17 year-old Robin Wright, of Sheboygan, failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection. Wright drove into the path of a northbound car driven by 47 year-old Andrew Zilner, of Newton.

Zilner and a 9 year-old girl were trapped inside their vehicle after the crash. First responders from Howards Grove were able to extricate them from the car using the Jaws of Life. The two were transported by ambulance to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by the Sheboygan Police Department.
