3 Injured in Sheboygan Car Accident

Three people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle accident in southwestern Sheboygan County Saturday.

According to officials with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. Saturday at state highways 28 and 144 in the Town of Sherman, about four miles west of Random Lake. Police say 40 year-old Steven Hoffman was driving a 2007 Kia Rebel northbound on Highway 28 when a pickup truck pulled out of a stop sign and into their path. The 1996 Ford F150 was driven by 22 year-old William Stewart, of Grafton.

Hoffman and his wife, 37 year-old Sandra Hoffman, were transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Six year-old Nicholas Hoffman sustained minor injuries in the accident and was also taken to the hospital.

Stewart complained of minor injuries but was not hospitalized. He was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign.
