Sheboygan Man Injured in Rollover Crash

A man from Sheboygan was injured Friday in a rollover crash, police say.

According to officials with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, 36 year-old Mumin Abd-Allah was traveling east on state Highway 23 near Sunset Road in a 2002 Lincoln Navigator SUV shortly after 2:00 p.m. when the rear right tire blew out, causing him to lose control of the vehicle. The Lincoln rolled several times and Abd-Allah, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle.

Abd-Allah was transported by Orange Cross Ambulance to St. Nicholas Hospital for treatment, Sgt. Brad Jorsch said. He was cited for driving too fast for conditions, not wearing a seatbelt, and for not having insurance.

Eastbound Highway 23 was temporarily closed while crews worked to clean up the scene of the crash. Lanes were reopened shortly after 4:00 p.m.
