19 Year-Old Charged in DUI Crash

A 19 year-old Plymouth man was charged Monday with DUI in a Sheboygan crash that injured a 17 year-old.

According to court documents, Lucas C. Loeffler could face up to three years in prison on a felony count of second-offense operating while intoxicated causing injury. The accident occurred shortly after 6:00 a.m. August 7 when Loeffler and four others were returning to Plymouth after attending a party in Sheboygan. Loeffler collided with a car driven by 17 year-old Dakota Chandler near county Highway PP.

A 21 year-old woman who was in the car told police Loeffler and others had been drinking at the party, and there was discussion over who was sober enough to drive. The woman, Amy Marketti, said Loeffler claimed to be traveling 110 mph while others yelled for him to slow down.
