Saint Cloud Man Killed in Sheboygan Moped Crash

A man was killed in a two-vehicle Sheboygan car accident Thursday.

According to officials with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, an 81 year-old man was driving a moped southbound on Irish Road when he attempted to make a turn onto County Road Q. Police say the moped made a wide turn, crossed the center line and entered the path of an oncoming eastbound vehicle.

The 81 year-old man from Saint Cloud was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Police say he was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the eastbound vehicle, a 23 year-old woman, also from Saint Cloud, was transported from the scene to a hospital in Fond du Lac.

The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the accident.
