Father, Son Injured in Sheboygan Crash

A father and son were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Sheboygan Saturday morning.

According to officials with the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department, 45 year-old Reid Krist, of Sheboygan Falls, was traveling west in a Dodge Ram pickup truck on Highway 23 with his 16 year-old son, Ryan, when the crash occurred. Police say a vehicle pulled out from a stop sign on Highway E, into the path of Krist’s vehicle, shortly after 11:00 a.m. Saturday.

The second driver, 68 year-old Ronald Blanke, also of Sheboygan Falls, was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way from a stop sign. He was not injured in the crash.

Both Krist and his son were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, police say. Sgt. Blaine Spicer, of the SCSD, said they both sustained “pretty severe cuts,” in the accident. The two were transported, by Plymouth Ambulance, to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
