2 Injured in Sheboygan Car Accident

Two people were injured Monday after a two-vehicle crash on Sheboygan’s north side.

According to officials with the Sheboygan Police Department, the crash occurred shortly after 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Taylor Drive and WIlgus Avenue. Sergeant Doug Teunissen said a 48 year-old Sheboygan woman was traveling northbound on Taylor Dr. in a 1998 Jeep Cherokee when she struck an eastbound 2006 Honda CRV driven by a 64 year-old man from Elkhart Lake.

The driver of the Jeep was transported by ambulance to St. Nicholas Hospital following the crash, where she was treated for minor injuries. She was cited for failure to obey traffic control.

The driver the Honda was uninjured in the crash, but a 79 year-old female who was riding with him was transported to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center to be checked for shortness of breath.
