Two-vehicle crash leaves one dead, three injured

A 7-year-old boy died after  a collision at the County Highway PP and County Highway E intersection.

The crash took place around 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. According to the police investigation, a van began to turn and struck a pickup truck. The deceased boy was in the van. The mother and driver of the van was injured as well. Her 5-month-only baby was not injured in the crash. Her 12-year-old daughter was seriously injured, and was air-lifted to a nearby children’s hospital. The 7-year-old boy was dead at the site of the crash. All of the passengers and the driver in the van were wearing their seat belts at the time of the collision.

The driver of the truck was injured. She was cited by Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office deputies for not wearing a seat belt.

Although police believe they understand the events of the crash, the investigation is still on-going and no blame has yet been placed.
