Bicyclist hit, killed by motorist

A 48-year-old bicyclist was killed Saturday night in a hit-and-run auto accident near the Sheboygan-Manitowoc county line, authorities said. Police said he was wearing a helmet and reflective clothing during the time of the crash. He was pronounced dead on the scene, authorities said, after a passing motorist saw him lying in a ditch.

The driver called the police later to report that he might have hit something. Police arrested the 39-year-old man and charged him with felony homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and hit-and-run causing death. He was released on bail, authorities said. Police won’t know his blood test results for another week.
