2 injured in semi, jeep crash

Two people were injured when a sport utility vehicle was crushed between two semi tractor-trailers in Sheboygan County, Wis., authorities said. The 45-year-old driver of the SUV was seriously injured in the accident, police said, but his injuries were not life-threatening. He was taken to the hospital along with the driver of the rear semi, who suffered minor injuries, authorities said.

Authorities said the first semi had stopped to make a turn, and the SUV stopped behind it. The second semi was unable to stop, and police said they will probably cite the driver of the second semi for driving too fast for the road conditions. The impact ruptured the diesel tanks on both semis, spilling diesel fuel, police said.
